New registration and billing system goes live

Dear Internic and Whois.co.uk Customers,

We’re pleased to announce that after months of development, we now have a completely new website in place to serve both new and existing Internic and whois customers. We hope you like it and can spare some time to take a quick look around and of course feel free to let us know of any suggestions for improvement you may have.

Internic.co.uk formerly Internic UK Ltd is now under brand new management and to support this change and our continued growth and development, we have moved to a new and improved Domain Registration & Billing System. More information on this will be available later but it’s important to note that there are many improvements over and above that provided by the old system which we think you're going to like. The new Management Team is fully committed to improving its domain registration service and will be contacting you over the coming months to tell you of our plans and to share some special offers we’re putting together for you.

In the meantime, the rest of this announcement contains some important information for customers so please read on!

All customers need to obtain a new password in order to be able to manage their domains with us.

.UK Domain Customers (.co.uk, org.uk, etc)

All domains ending in .uk have been fully migrated to the new system. In order to use the new system and to manage your .uk domain names with us, you will need to follow these simple steps:

1. Visit www.internic.co.uk.

2. Click the 'Customer login' link at the top of the page or visit http://www.internic.co.uk/domains/clientarea.php

3. Click the 'Request a password reset' link - please use the exact same email you used when you registered your domain as your new password will be sent to this address

5. Once you receive the new password, login via the 'Customer Login' link at the top of the page

6. You will now be logged into the new system - welcome to Internic's new Domain Registration & Billing System where you can fully manage all of your domains with us. The knowledgebase in the ‘Support Portal’ contains basic help and will be updated with more articles shortly.

Note 1: historic billing information prior to 17th May 2010 for ALL domain customers will not be available but future billing information will be.

Note 2: all previous www.internic.co.uk web links will no longer be active so please remove them from your favourites list, replacing them with the relevant new ones.

Non .UK Domain Customers (e.g. all domains not ending in .uk such as .com, .org, .net etc)

Non .uk domain names have yet to be migrated to the new system as we have decided to go for a phased migration approach for an added layer of safety and security. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but want to stress your non .uk domains are still just as safe as they have been and are currently being supported by the previous Management Team until the migration is complete. We have put an entry into our knowledge base in the Support Centre for those who have an interest in this.
