Internic and Interservers Dispute Update

We understanding that this remains a confusing and worrying time for our customers but we just want to assure you we and Nominet are aware of the situation that Interservers (a company based in the US and not as we are in the UK) continues to attempt to disrupt our business by misleading and poaching our customers. Despite our best efforts, the owner Duane Wells has essentially stolen customer data from us and has not provided us with the necessary electronic information to allow us to gain back rightful control of our non .uk domain customers.

What are Interservers Technology still doing

Our .uk customer data and domains is safe and is currently secure within our new system but despite this, Interservers Technology INC continues to: 1. illegally invoice our customers and take money for a service they are not contracted to supply.
2. not provide timely help to our non .uk domain customers for important and in some cases critical support issues such as domain renewals
3. not provide support to both .uk and non .uk domain customers who took out a hosting plan with them
4. midlead our customers with false information leading to worry and confusion for both our customers and us - an example here is that in some cases they are still branding their invoices with 'Internic' statements leading some to believe their are still our agents - they are not.

Next steps

1. .uk domain customers should NOT pay any invoice presented to them by Interservers and if money is taken from their credit / debit cards, they should demand an immediate refund.
2. .uk domain customers SHOULD pay our invoice as the IPS TAG (that feature which clarifys who the managing registrar is) clearly shows it is INTERNIC and not INTERSERVERS Technology INC who are responsible for this. If our Invoice is not paid, then the domains will unfortunately not be renewed by us.
3. Non .uk domain (.com etc) customers should consider moving their domain back to our control rather than leave it in the hands of an immoral US based company who continues to carry out illegal billing against our customers.

Note: as per our previous emails on the subject, we are offering any company or individual that has suffered as a result of Interservers not carrying out a moral or contractual duty with a FREE like for like hosting plan with no questions asked for 1 year. In some cases the value of this could be as much as £239.88.

Regardless of this position, we continue to operate as an official Nominet registrar in the UK and our new registration and billing system is in place and operating well for many months now. Our domain business continues to grow and we have launched our own hosting solution to support our core business and we have plans to launch new supporting services in the near future.

We hope that this provides further clarity on the situation and would urge you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns on the matter. We are still experiencing high volumes of support enquiries due mainly to the backlog of support issues left unresloved by Interservers so our turnaround time at the moment is not as quick as we would like. We are dealing with all enquiries and would ask you mark your tickets as Urgent if the situation demands it.
